Very cool! Lots of good deals here!

Lovecraft eZine

There are a lot of Lovecraftian books available for Kindle that are 99 cents, or even free.  While I haven’t personally read them all, I am only listing the books with good reviews.  Take particular note of ICHTHYS by Arrin Dembo, The Cthulhu Mythos Megapack, and Shadows Over Main Street.

This is just the first entry in this series — stay tuned!  (You can follow this site via email by entering your email address at the top right of this page.)

The lovely books

The lovely books

Spent Valentine’s day walking around the snowy streets of Philadelphia while waiting for a table. Popped into the Joseph Fox Bookstore during our travels. This shop was a crowded little affair. I felt like I was in a  broom closet, albeit a wonderful broom closet that is filled floor to ceiling with books.  I love the Mütter Museum, so I was excited to find a biography on Dr. Mutter, the 19th century surgeon. Picked up some Egyptian mythology for my son.

We almost missed our train back but were in luck, as it was delayed from the snow. There is nothing like a wintery train ride with a good book!

A young adult novel set in a Lovecraftian universe is an unusual combination, but the author makes it work. The story was very readable, and I enjoyed it from start to finish.
